I'm not sure if I'm cut out for television just yet, but I gave it a shot with Dr. Dan Meyer of the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce and "The Chamber Voice", which airs on the Mountain Television Network here in Western North Carolina.  The show introduces new members of the Chamber of Commerce to the community, which we are now members of!  You can watch the video here

Search Engine Optimization - What is it? PDF Print E-mail
Written by Freddy Fluchel

Search Engine Optimization or SEO, is the practice of getting a website into a state that it is best absorbed into search engines, resulting in subject specific search results that the search engines deem worthy.  It is a great way to increase income and decrease advertising expenses if eCommerce or online visitors are important to your business success. SEO does not work overnight and any SEO (when used in this capacity stands for Search Engine Optimizer...us!) that says he can get your website to the top of search engine results by changing a "few" things on your website is not being realistic.  SEO takes months in order to increase the visibility within search results.  It is also a non-stop process; you don't ever quit marketing your website because if you do, your competitors will jump ahead and drop your website lower and lower on the results page.  It is for this reason that we do not charge a flat fee for SEO.

SEO is not cheap; it takes a huge effort from the business owner and the SEO himself.  Because it is not cheap, some companies opt to just pay for Pay Per Click advertising, which is very effective if your ads are effectively written and you can closely monitor the success of your keywords.  We will tell you that unless you are willing to pay over $2000 a month for an effective Pay Per Click campaign, then you are just wasting your money.  So what does a business do that depends on online sales, or is just starting out?   You can pay the Streamline way!!

We realize the problems with producing enough capital to market a website.  How?  Because we have been there before, building and then marketing difficult to find websites and making them successful.  We have two ways that a small to medium business or start up can begin to optimize their online business:

 1)  We can and will take a commission or percentage of each sale that we generate for your website, which means, you only pay for what we earn for you.  This means that if you make a sale that is NOT generated by us, you don't pay!  This motivates us to get your website up to the top of the search engines as fast as possible because it benefits us.  We can work directly on your website, or we can develop our own website that markets your products (at no cost to you) and that website either makes the sale or hands the sale off to your company.  This can work the same way as Affiliate marketing or "Drop Shipping".  This works for leads as well, we can charge for each lead, or if that lead converts to a purchase.

 2)  Monthly SEO subscription agreements - You agree to pay us a number of hours to spend on your site, marketing it for search engines.  This method is not guaranteed and not recommended.

If you are interested in making money with your website, then please give us a call or schedule a consultation appointment with our Automatic Appointment Scheduler.

Upcoming System Maintenance PDF Print E-mail
Written by Freddy Fluchel
Tuesday, 25 August 2009 18:54

Dear Customers,

In a few days my system engineering team will be performing several upgrades

to our infrastructure in our data center.  The maintenance is scheduled to

last two (2) hours -- beginning on August 30 at 12:00 AM EDT and ending on

August 30 at 02:00 AM EDT -- during which access to websites and

applications will be intermittent.  As always, we will do everything we can

to keep the interruptions to an absolute minimum.

STORAGE ARRAY MAINTENANCE

During this maintenance window we will be performing a series of software

upgrades on the storage array to increase our capacity, stability, and

scalability.  These upgrades will also allow us to further optimize our

storage array's performance, equating to faster data load times for your

applications and better stability.  During the maintenance period you may be

unable to access, upload, or make changes to your website content.  Although

connectivity during this window will be intermittent, we will do everything

possible to limit the amount of time your account will be affected.

MSSQL 2008 MAINTENANCE (ONLY AFFECTS MSSQL 2008 DATABASES - YOU KNOW IF YOU

HAVE ONE, IF YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, THEN THE FOLLOWING

DOES NOT PERTAIN TO YOU)

In addition to the storage array upgrade, we will also be installing

important updates to our MSSQL 2008 environment that will increase database

performance and improve scalability and stability.  During the maintenance

window, MSSQL 2008 databases will need to be taken offline for a short

period of time.  Although the maintenance window is listed for two (2)

hours, we expect that the actual MSSQL downtime to be much less -- database

connections may be intermittently unavailable up to 30 minutes during the

maintenance window.

If you have any further questions, please contact me at 828-308-3866.

Best Regards,

Frederick Fluchel

Yocona River Boykins PDF Print E-mail

Deep in the heart of Mississippi, in Rebel country, lives a man by the name of Clay Black.  This guy is an expert in cooking authentic barbequed baby back ribs, and I am not talking about boiled ribs that you get in chain restaurants, or smoked ribs you get in the swamplands of Florida, I am talking about cooked slow and low barbecue ribs.   Well Mr. Black also has another expertise, that of training and breeding Boykin Spaniels.   Boykin Spaniels at Yocona River BoykinsHe has been building a company using online search engine techniques that we have consulted with him for years in order to master results in online searches.  He can tell you as well as we can that search engine marketing is constantly changing, and if you don’t stay on top of the new strategies and techniques, you can be wasting your own time and money.

His website, Yocona River Boykins, has been steadily gaining ground in Google, and his statistics show it.  Yocona River Boykins is located in the rolling hills of North Mississippi, just outside of Oxford, MS.   Whether  you hunt dove, waterfowl, or upland game birds, the Boykin Spaniel can do it all.  Though smaller than a lab, they can also retrieve the occasional goose.  Yocona River Boykins is a full time kennel facility offering training for Boykin Spaniel puppies as well as limited, but select, breedings per year.

Boykin Spaniels truly are the most versatile gundog of the 21st Century.  Click Here for more about Clay Black and Yocona River Boykins.
