It's Official: We're Green! PDF Print E-mail

Streamline SEO is wind generator powered! When companies today mention "Going Green" what do they mean?  Did they get some extra insulation?  Did they put in more weather stripping?  Well I am proud to announce that Streamline SEO is now Green, and by "Green" I mean Green for real.  I spent the past few weeks preparing for and installing an Air-X Wind Turbine Generator to recharge the 8 - 12 Volt batteries that feed my house.  The batteries are wired into a Outback Power Inverter that converts the DC electric into AC electric for use by the house, but prior to this weekend I used a generator to recharge the batteries.  With the cost of gas rising and the emissions of carbon dioxide from the generator, it was a welcome break to see the windmill turning once it was erected atop the 30 foot tower.

The construction of the tower was a "breeze", lifting it only took two people, and the actual turbine came pre-assembled with little left to complete except to attach the blades.

Of course the reason I went to Green was not some type of movement or radical conversion, the real reason is because of an unscrupulous Blowing Rock realtor (website soon to come) who negligently misrepresented the availability of power to my land when I built my house.  Of course now I am in a better position to handle the challenges, but before it was a shock to find out that Blue Ridge Electric wanted $50,000 to hook up electricity to my house!  Going on 3 years now off-grid, and I wouldn't change a thing.

The Here is to Green!

New Automated Appointment Scheduler PDF Print E-mail
Written by Freddy Fluchel
Thursday, 05 March 2009 04:24

I have been called many things the past few months, with the most common names being "ghost", "elusive", and "phone tag buddy".  As many of you know my schedule is filled to the gills and every minute of my day seems to be occupied with something.  Alas, I have come up with an answer to a lot of the missed communication opportunities:  The AAS, or Automated Appointment Scheduler.   I am very excited about this development because of the extra step that will be cut out of the rendezvous I set out on week after week:  Confirming my visit.   What I have done is put in my schedule for the next 2 months, well, until the end of April.  So if you need me to come out and check your PC or talk about your website, simply come to this website, click on the link on the left hand side that says "Schedule Appointment" and find a green box that meets your schedule.  Fill out the simple form, choose your date and time, click Submit, and then voila, I will show up on that day and at that time!   Since you will see my schedule, all you have to do is pick your best time.

Appointment slots will fill up quickly, so if you need me, please get to this website and schedule it.  Of course if your computer is down and you can't get to this website, then call me, no problem, and I will find a date.  The scheduler is a tool to help organize, but there will be technical emergencies and we will have to play them by ear, so please call me if you are experiencing one.

Here are some additional tips in getting a hold of me:

1)  Email is much better than calling me.  My iPhone gets email all the time.

2)  Text Messaging is better than email if it is an emergency.

3)  If you leave a voicemail, try to make it as detailed as possible so that I can call you back with the answer, and not another question.

4)  Please understand that I get about 100 emails per day that have to be answered and over 20 to 30 voicemails per day to return.

5)  I do work a lot of night shift, so if my phone goes directly to voicemail then I am probably sleeping.

6)  If my phone rings once or twice and then has a long pause for voicemail, then I am out of range and will be back into civilization shortly.  Leave a detailed voicemail and I will try to get back to you as soon as I can!

Thanks again for all of your confidence and your understanding, I appreciate you all!

Deep in the heart of Mississippi, in Rebel country, lives a man by the name of Clay Black.  This guy is an expert in cooking authentic barbequed baby back ribs, and I am not talking about boiled ribs that you get in chain restaurants, or smoked ribs you get in the swamplands of Florida, I am talking about cooked slow and low barbecue ribs.   Well Mr. Black also has another expertise, that of training and breeding Boykin Spaniels.   Boykin Spaniels at Yocona River BoykinsHe has been building a company using online search engine techniques that we have consulted with him for years in order to master results in online searches.  He can tell you as well as we can that search engine marketing is constantly changing, and if you don’t stay on top of the new strategies and techniques, you can be wasting your own time and money.

His website, Yocona River Boykins, has been steadily gaining ground in Google, and his statistics show it.  Yocona River Boykins is located in the rolling hills of North Mississippi, just outside of Oxford, MS.   Whether  you hunt dove, waterfowl, or upland game birds, the Boykin Spaniel can do it all.  Though smaller than a lab, they can also retrieve the occasional goose.  Yocona River Boykins is a full time kennel facility offering training for Boykin Spaniel puppies as well as limited, but select, breedings per year.

Boykin Spaniels truly are the most versatile gundog of the 21st Century.  Click Here for more about Clay Black and Yocona River Boykins.

The Art of Wasting Labor PDF Print E-mail

In today's economy wasted resources are very, very hard to recover.  Are you wasting your hard-earned profits away on inefficiency?  I have consulted with many companies, big and small, and you would be surprised to know that the majority of them did not realize that money was slipping through their fingers every second that they were paying their workers to sit at PC's that were running poorly.  If you think that you are saving money by getting by with an old PC, think again.  You can be losing thousands of dollars per week, just by being stubborn!
